2021 NFL Mock Drafts

The best of the best? We’ll be the judge of that. These NFL Draft "experts" are famous for their Mock Draft expertise, but their predictions have never been truly evaluated. Until now. Mock Draft Database is putting their prognostications to the ultimate test. Meet HERC, our proprietary scoring system that evaluates the accuracy of each Mock Draft.

If you haven’t heard of Evan Silva, you haven't been paying attention. Silva is renowned for his fantasy football rankings, but he’s no slouch when it comes to NFL mock drafting, either. Consistently one of the most accurate mock drafters, Silva looks to continue his mock draft and player analysis domination in 2021. Keep an eye on his position rankings as well, as he has been extremely accurate in projecting players’ NFL success.

SCOTT SMITH

  • Twitter

Scott Smith is a fantasy analyst for Rotoviz, but his expertise clearly doesn’t stop at fantasy football. Smith was the most accurate mock drafter by most metrics in 2018 (including our HERC Score), and took 2nd in our 2019 HERC Score Standings to cap off an unbelievable 2 year run. In 2020, Scott did the unthinkable and ranked in the Top 5 for the third straight year. Because of his remarkable consistency, Smith is the current undisputed king of Mock Drafting.

Washington DC sports fans will recognize Ben Standig from his work as a Staff Writer for The Athletic, where he covers the Redskins and Wizards. Nationally, though, Standig has made a name for himself in the NFL Mock Draft scene by crafting some of the most accurate mock drafts on record. Standig set the then record for highest HERC Score in 2019, then followed it up with a solid Top 25 finish in 2020.

TODD MCSHAY

  • Twitter

ESPN

McShay has a scouting background and made a name for himself with The War Room in the early 2000’s. After The War Room was purchased by ESPN and renamed Scouts Inc., McShay became a household name in the mock drafting world and often works side by side with Mel Kiper, Jr. Their dueling mock drafts have become a staple of pre-draft coverage. *COVID forced McShay to not release an updated Mock Draft in 2020, so his score was based on his most recent Mock and likely not what would have been his final Mock.
